Well today was the service for Kenny....
It was quite good- as those type of things go.
There was a time for people to go up and speak- I was tempted to, but didn't.
Public speaking isn't my forte.
They had a photo of him in the front of the chapel.
There were people I have worked with for years and it was strange to see them in a different light.
I brought plenty of tissues- for myself and those I sat with.
I think it was great that the management allowed us to go to it :)
That must have been very emotional.
I'm so sorry, Henry. :-(
Posted by: Burnt Fuse at May 17, 2004 08:24 PMI am guessing that this was not the Kenny of South Park fame, as I imagined when I read the first line?
Posted by: Tiger at May 17, 2004 09:05 PMOuch. I'm glad that management let you have the memorial service, but I'm sad that there was a reason to have to have it in the first place. Memorial services can be a great time to feel the pain with others who are feelling the same pain-- nobody there will tell you to "suck it up", and it's a good time to tell stories and remember. But still it makes you wish that the person was there in front of you, so you could tell them how you feel in person.
