Butchering the English language

This kind of irritates me.
When I was picking up my perscription today the girl asked me:
"Have you ever 'tooken' this medicine before ?"
I wanted to ask her if she got her High School diploma out of a Cracker Jack box, but I didn't.

I'm a lot less offended by analogic levelling of irregular verb forms than by showy polysyllables. For example, how often do you hear/read a sentence containing the word located which wouldn't mean exactly the same thing if located were either replaced with found or omitted?
